Homelessness feels like a big problem. We know you you want to help, but maybe just don’t know how.

That’s why during Homelessness Week 1-7 August 2022, the region’s homelessness agencies, as part of the Oven Murray and Goulburn Homelessness Network, will launch its Pay It Forward initiative, with the idea to share good fortune by doing something kind for someone else.

Ovens Murray Goulburn Pay It Forward

The Ovens Murray & Goulburn Homelessness Network is working with local businesses to make it easy to Pay It Forward and to share good fortune by doing something kind for someone else.

During Homelessness Week community members can purchase a coffee or a meal from one of 34 local cafés or restaurants that will be redeemable by a person in need at the participating venue.

“The biggest thing is community awareness. A lot of people are doing it tough so if the community show they are willing to help, people experiencing homelessness will feel valued.”
