Peter and Lyndy White Foundation Community Housing Build

An ongoing partnership between the Peter & Lyndy White Foundation and BeyondHousing will see more than 40 new community housing homes built each year.

The commitment by the Peter & Lyndy White Foundation to a long-term $10-15 million annual partnership provides certainty in the supply of new social housing for vulnerable regional Victorians.

“This partnership is an excellent response to declining rental affordability, long waiting lists for public housing, and increasing rates of homelessness and represents an innovative solution to social housing supply issues and will have a real and positive social impact.”

Celia Adams, BeyondHousing CEO

This partnership is a huge boost in our capacity to develop social housing for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our region. It will allow us to address the housing shortage in a significant way, giving hundreds of people access to safe, secure, and affordable housing, and providing an opportunity to thrive and life changing benefits for our community.

“Now more than ever there is a massive need for social housing and we believe our collaboration with BeyondHousing will achieve maximum impact. We are very pleased to announce our future agreement with BeyondHousing to contribute an additional $15M for these projects in the 2022/23 Financial year.”

Peter White, The Peter & Lyndy White Foundation

By the end of 2022, together, we will have proudly commissioned 152 houses which will accommodate over 200 of our most vulnerable community members. We think this is a wonderful achievement especially given the difficulty of operating under COVID-19 restrictions.

We are working with local builders delivering quality, tailored homes, and generating economic prosperity in our communities.
